Launching 7th February!
Here's how it works:
You bring the vision of what you want your work and life to look like as an aspiring, establishing or experienced educational leader in 2025.
Kate Horton & Aleise White provide the community, resources, expertise and accountability to support your ongoing personal and professional growth.
We were primary school teachers for years, so we've built what we wish we'd had when we were navigating the role of teaching, leading AND wanting an amazing life amongst all of it.
If you're ready to have the best year of your career, read on, you're going to LOVE this!
You wouldn't got to the gym for 6 hours and expect to be healthy for the rest of your life!
So don't go to leadership course and expect to be awesome at your job for the rest of your career.
The Ed Leaders' Lab is different from any professional development you've done before:
It's not a one-off event, it's a year-long journey.
We don't just focus on your professional growth, we understand that your personal growth is just as important.
We support you to create a work life balance where you can be an amazing leader without sacrificing your health and wellbeing.
Kate & Aleise are OBSESSED with this mahi! You've got us in your back pocket the whole time.
Here's your village.
When you join the Ed Leaders' Lab, you become part of an national community of educators who are committed to consistent, purposeful action towards their leadership & personal goals.
Your fellow colleagues care about the person you’re becoming, the challenges you’re facing, and want to support you in bringing your visions into reality.
Kate & Aleise are intent on making this the most uplifting and supportive Facebook Group for educators in New Zealand.
A tool for any situation!
Whether you’re looking for conversation templates, meeting frameworks, seminal research, feedback scaffolds, wellbeing tools, coaching, additional training, co-working sessions …
we have it all!
Our resource bank grows each month and you get access to it all!
Check out a free example of our resources:
Coaching & Mentoring.
Advice and information are free, and freely available. Support and accountability are the things worth investing in.
You'll have access to regular weekly events to keep you on track all year long.
And, you're in great hands! Kate and Aleise not only have a solid background in education, but are both formally qualified (and very experienced) leadership coaches.
We’ll also have exclusive member offers for 1:1 leadership or health coaching programs when you want something extra.
When you don't know where you're going, ask someone who's been there before.
Here's some stats about Kate & Aleise:
We each spent 10+ years teaching in primary schools
We both held oodles of leadership roles in our schools
Both of us were Kāhui Ako AST's
We both said "no way!" to exploring the Principal pathway
We've worked with hundreds of educational leaders up and down the country as Education and Leadership Consultants.
F.A.Q's
Have I missed the joining date?
Not at all!
You can begin your membership to the Ed Leaders' Lab at any time, and your subscription will last for 12 months from your joining date.
Do I have to turn up for everything?
Nope! Like everything in life, you get out what you put in. That means you get to pick and choose the way that you participate inside the Ed Leaders' Lab. The right way to be a member, is the way that's right for you.
Is there a payment plan?
How good is afterpay?
It's available when you check-out.
If your school is picking up the tab, just let us know the email address of your accounts person and we'll whip up an invoice.
Does this count towards my appraisal?
Being a member of the Ed Leaders' Lab is a GREAT professional learning activity to reflect on for your professional growth cycle.
We can provide you with a certificate of participation when requried.
How does this all link with Our Code, Our Standards?
Every resource that we have created, aligns with at least one of the Standards for the Teaching Profession.
We also love the Educational Leadership Capability Framework, and make sure that everything that we create has strong links to this document.
Is there a discount if our whole team joins?
We have made the Ed Leaders' Lab as accessible as possible because we know that a lot of you will be self-funding. That means that in order to keep things fair, there are not, and never will be any discounts on this membership.
